Giorgia Gandolfini (Reggio Emilia, Italy, 1991) is a practitioner and independent researcher in the field of contemporary art, with a specialty in art residencies and artistic intervention in organizational settings. Her interests focus on the way artistic practices facilitate educational processes and trigger innovation.

In early 2018, she co-founded The Artist Partners. To date, she and her team have given life to site-specific artist-led workshops inside private organizations from a variety of different industries in Italy. Projects focus on the development of creativity, empathy and innovation.

Giorgia is also research fellow at Residency Unlimited Inc. (New York City), where she curates Dialogues, an open online platform of critical and theoretical content on the topic of art residencies.

She worked in program and administration roles in different residency programs operating at an international level, such as Residency Unlimited Inc. (New York City), Careof (Milan) and Ramdom (Lecce).

Giorgia obtained a Master’s degree in Arts Management from the University of Bologna (Italy) with a dissertation on the role that residency programs play in the contemporary art system. She also holds a BA in Contemporary and Modern Art History. As a visiting student, she attended Ludwig-Maximilians Universität in Munich (Germany) and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (United States). She is currently in the process of obtaining a second BA’s degree in Educational Studies (2022) at Bicocca University in Milan.

She is based in Milan, Italy.
